Trinity E.C. Church of Royersford’s youth program is known as SOULed Out and is for those in grades 7-12th. We are affiliated with Christian Endeavor - Mid Atlantic, an organization established in 1881 that has developed into a world-wide ministry for young people, training them for leadership in the church. Our group’s mission is to lead youth to develop a strong relationship with Christ and to equip them to lead a Christian life by teaching God’s word, fellowshipping with peers, serving in our church and community, and developing godly leadership skills.

We teach Sunday School on Sunday mornings from 9:15-10:15 AM and have Sunday night lessons from 7:00-8:30 PM. There we learn about Jesus and how to form a relationship with him. We also learn about life lessons and how to develop our character into becoming more “Christ-like”.

We enjoy fellowship through organized monthly events such as lock-ins, laser tag, bowling, an annual weekend retreat and much more. This fellowship time gives teens an opportunity to spend time with other Christians facing the same challenges they are. Building solid relationships with leaders and peers is a very important component of C.E.

We put our faith into action by serving others through local outreach projects. Lastly, we realize that leadership is learned through experience and therefore we develop essential leadership skills through planned and impromptu activities.

If you ever want to find out what is going on with the Youth Group, we have a bulletin board in the Social Hall Lobby, a web page on the church’s website, or you can speak to any one of the leaders – Karl and Kim Hoffman. The youth leaders at Trinity E.C. Church of Royersford are dedicated to fulfilling the mission God has given us – to develop youth that are passionate for Him. All are welcome to join our youth group and attend our events.

With Fall comes wonderful things - football, apple cider, pumpkin pie and...the annual Christian Endeavor Phone-a-Thon! Once again we will be hosting the Phone-a-Thon at Trinity Lighthouse so that teens can earn money towards next year's Christian Endeavor events. Our teens have determined that the best 5 nights to meet would be:
  • Monday, Oct 6
  • Tuesday, Oct 7
  • Thursday, Oct 9
  • Monday, Oct 13
  • Tuesday, Oct 14
We will meet from 6:30 PM til 9:00 PM each night. Dinner will be provided on 6th, 9th and 13th (Mondays and Thursday) and dessert on 7th and 14th (Tuesdays). (Due to the rigirous schedule of the Phone-a-Thon, we will not meet for Youth Group on Sunday, the 12th)

The GAiN service project is coming up on Saturday, October 18th. This event is in conjuction with other Christian Endeavor churches, most that attended Summer Assembly, and I know that the teens are really looking forward to reconnecting with their friends. But more importantly GAiN is an awesome opportunity to serve in a project that will reach people worldwide. We will have fun working at the Distribution Center in Mount Joy. This time we will be participating in food packaging. We will meet in the church parking lot at 11:30 AM and plan to return approximately at 4:30 PM

We are planning to host a Light in the Night event on Halloween night, Friday October 31st. We did this a couple times years ago and look forward to doing it again. The premise is to create a "safe zone" for trick-or-treaters in our community and "shine the light of Jesus" to them. The teens would help with small games and handing out candy and stickers. More info to follow!

Wow - a Phone-a-Thon, a service project and a community event all in one month! It might seem busy, but these events meet what we are all about - faith, fun and fellowship! If you have any questions about events, just talk to Kim or Karl!
