Building a Brighter Future in a Darkened World

MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers,  a dynamic program designed to nurture mothers with children from infancy through kindergarten. MOPS is a relevant and caring network, making moms better moms through trusted resources and relationships.

MOPS meets every 3rd Thursday from September through May.  We have incredible guest speakers, small mom-to-mom discussion groups,  fun "easy to complete while you are there" crafts, parties, great food, and scheduled outings with and without children.

Children take part in the MOPPETS program we have 3 groups which are designed for them by age (Birth to 2) (2's and 3's) (4's and 5's). The children's program includes bible stories, crafts, snacks, music and free play,  all provided by volunteers who are trained and have their clearances.

"...how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ..." Eph 3:18

             2008-2009 Theme

As a mom, do you feel like a merry-go-round as you go round and round and up and down- but don't sem to get anywhere? Do you feel like you are riding the bumper cars of the relationship part of your adventure in mothering?

Our Adventures in Mothering theme will equip you to learn more about yourself as you go through the adventure in motherhood. You will celebrate and embrace the fun in the experiences, even in the midst of daily mom life that stretches you emotionally and spiritually.

The metaphor Adventures in Mothering is an amusement park. With the sights, sounds, tastes and smells of the amusement park, motherhood might feel like a sensory overload. But we will enjoy this together and learn more about oursleves as women, moms and leaders.

The theme verse for Adventures in Mothering is Ephesians 3:18: "how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ." The dimensions of this verse express how God is with us in our mothering adventure.

We will examine the practical aspects of our theme and then move towards spiritual truth. The knowledge that God is with us on the mothering adventure gives hope. God's love is big enough for the magnitude of the adventure.
